Owies

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 28, 2008, 5:33 PM
I think I have either tendonitis, carpal tunnel, or tennis elbow in my left arm. My elbow has been throbbing off and on for the past...3 days now? And often my wrists will hurt too :( So needless to say, I may be taking a forced break from drawing and computer usage in general. It'll be tough to do, since I work as a web developer and sit at a computer for 8 hours a day =/ But yeah...I don't have any braces or wraps here to wrap my elbow up with. Best I can do is rest it and take Tylenol. :(

DA, You Disappoint Me

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 27, 2008, 11:22 AM
I question some of the content that DA permits at times. I see so many photographs and drawings that are border line pornographic, but yet, there's someone to insist that they are "art" pieces. I just can't SEE that way! How is a naked woman, tied up and bound, positioned in a sexual position NOT pornographic? I have tits of my own, I care not to see some other woman's.
It's disappointing that such images get so much attention, although for obvious reasons.

I'm having the hardest time changing my mood for these posts. I'm not always hungry lol.

Wacom Bamboo

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 23, 2008, 8:15 AM
I bought a new tablet yesterday, a Wacom Bamboo. It's simple, easy to use, small, and just perfect for my skill level. I've already started doing some digital line art from my sketch book, and I'm really pleased with how it's looking :D I had been using an Aiptek, and there was nothing wrong with it, but I started using Macs and the Aiptek wasn't compatible with the OS, so the pen pressure feature didn't work, to say the least. So that's really why I upgraded. I should have done it a long time ago...the Wacom is much smoother, and doesn't "catch" as much as the Aiptek did. =/

So yeah, if you're considering purchasing a graphic tablet, I'd definately shell out the extra cash for a name brand product like Wacom. The Bamboo I purchased was 99$, if you're on a budget. Best of luck on your tablet journey!!

Repostings

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 14, 2008, 11:11 AM
I've reposted some old art that may or may not have been on my old DA account. So yeah, it's in a little category in my gallery, so if you really want to look, it's easy to find.

I've also resubmitted the Grimmjow sketch from a few weeks ago. Finally got my scanner working correctly, so I rescanned a higher quality image. It needs a little photoshopping but no worries.

I'm working on some original character designs and reference sheets for a fan fic a friend and I are working on. Don't get your hopes up, the fic will not be posted here >> But I will post my designs for the OCs
